Post treatment. During treatment I knew exactly what I needed to do and when. I was surrounded by people who loved me. There was a plan of action and I was on it. Afterwards, you are left with a new normal. People go back to their daily lives. I'm still learning this new dance, but I will say that I accept every day...as a gift and I do my best to enjoy every single moment and live with purpose.

I concur with PositivelyPat, the "after treatment" period is sometimes confusing and hard. But I must say Diagnosis is still my worst day and I still have nightmares sometimes that I may face this dreaded news again. I was left after all of this ordeal with a higher sensitivity and unfortunately the "sense of doom". Always thinking it may come back. However, I try to keep busy and have goals that keep me moving forward. It was with those thoughts of a future with my kids that I was able to go through everything that happened to me and that I can shake off those down-feelings whenever they occur... which I must say is less and less as time goes by.
