No, there is not one company that is better than the other. The silicone implants by the company Mentor or Allergan can be used equally. There is a new company named Sientra that has FDA approval to sell silicone implants but I have no experience with them yet.

A custom external breast form is a custom made external breast prosthesis used to restore physiological symmetry post mastectomy. A scan or cast is made of the chest and a form is designed to match the color, shape and drape of the non-surgical side. The most important thing about a custom form is that it fits, in a puzzle like fashion to the physiological and surgical anomolies of the surgical site on the chest wall. It can be made from a variety of materials, but is usually made from some form of lightweight silicone. In many cases, an individual can not wear a premanufactured and sized silicone form. A Custom form gives a breast cancer survivor a non-surgical option.
