Contact the treating provider/facility billing clerk for clarification of the bill. You may request an itemized statement that breaks down the cost for you to review. If your insured you may also contact the insurer for further clarification on the benefits or lack of. Coding and Billing errors do occur so if the bills seems questionable and you feel if incorrect dig deeper you may find a simple phone call to the billing department where the claim may recify the situation.
