This depends on the person. We have been prescribing aromatase inhibitors for breast cancer for over ten years in the clinic. In my experience I have most often seen the aches and pains stay the same over time or occasionally lessen over time. The good news is that typically the side effects do not worsen over time. Studies are underway looking at the causes of these aches and pains and why they differ from person to person.
