Breast Forms

Share Emailz

A post surgical puff is usually provided immediately after surgery and can be worn attached to most garments. A chest compression garment is usually worn during the initial post surgical period. A shaped foam breast form is usually given to wear for the first 2-3 weeks. Once the surgical drains have been removed and the surgical scar is completely healed a Silicone or similar breast form may be fit and worn. This is usually around 6 weeks after surgery, however healing will also depend on factors such as radiation, chemotherapy and skin sensitivity. Always seek out a Certified Post Mastectomy Fitter for all post surgical items to ensure proper fit and appropriateness.
