That is not easy to answer. There has not been one part specifically in my journey that has been more difficult than any other. Each phase has had its challenges from deciding if I should have 2 lumpectomies or a bilateral mastectomy to living through the discomfort of tissue expanders! One other thing that does stand out has been the impact on my activities. I am a very active person- (horseback riding, tennis, golf, working out) and I have had to put these activities on ‘hold’ for a while. My implant surgery was a few weeks ago and I am looking forward to resuming my former life shortly.
