Thank you @PeterBeitschMD "Thanks, Dr Beitsch, for your reply. I am still not certain that I would want blood from anyone who has had melanoma though!"

Thank you @PeterBeitschMD "Thank you for your reply. Knowing what I do about melanoma, even as a layperson, I agree that an organ donated by a person with any history of melanoma would make me very nervous!"

Thank you @PeterBeitschMD "Thank you. The radiation tracking was used on me during my last melanoma bout. The lymph nodes were cleared. An excellent explanation."

Thank you @PeterBeitschMD "Thank you SO very much for your response. It has been very difficult to get any response or reply regarding this within the medical community in general. I had been originally diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer, was operated on, AND then told it was really stage 4 after I had told them of my back pain...it scares me how uninformed this VERY prominent hospital was/is. I feel as though if there had been a study indicating that it would be beneficial, of course i would have had the operation...but being that there is none really, I don't think they should have done it...as of course, my quality of life, (at age 40/single) is diminished, and i've been given 4-14 years now to live. If that is the case, I should have been given the choice...and I would have chosen to keep the breast. Thank you again for having the courage to give a response, and for being so thoughtful in your answer. "
