Laurie Kilmartin has been a practicing Physical Therapist for 9 years. She received her Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from New York University in 2004. Laurie is an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) certified Women’s Health Clinical Specialist. She is the Clinical Specialist at the Women’s & Men’s Health Physical Therapy Program at Rusk Rehabilitation’s Ambulatory Care Center, and is also an adjunct faculty member in New York University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy Program.

In her role as Clinical Specialist for the Women’s and Men’s Health Outpatient Physical Therapy program, she works with a diverse population of patients including individuals with pelvic floor dysfunction, prenatal/postpartum related pathology, post surgical cancer rehabilitation, osteoporosis, and lymphedema.

She lectures frequently on the topic of lymphedema, cancer rehabilitation, osteoporosis, and Women’s & Men’s Health physical therapy to physical therapists, allied healthcare professionals, students, and the community. She has been a guest speaker on New York University Langone Medical Center’s Dr. Radio, and spoke numerous times on the topics of lymphedema, cancer rehabilitation, and osteoporosis.
