Tambre     Being a caregiver taught me to look for the opportunity in challenges. One of those opportunities was to really explore my spiritual connection. What a wonderful opportunity you've created with your "Dare to Dream". I am already booked for a reading from the anthology collection, "Tarnished: Tales of Innocence Lost" of my essay. Wishing you the best with this!

ArmyofWomenFlorida     Just a thought in reading this wonderful site: Daily Meditation is an excellent tool not only to quiet the mind but it also has documented health benefits:
-Reduces anxiety attacks by lowering the levels of blood lactate.
-Enhances the immune system.
-It increases blood flow and slows the heart rate.

Here are 97 more reasons:

raysingboyz     What of anxiety brought on by medication (chemical/physical, not emotional/psychological)? Since I began a new medication, I struggle with a physical anxiety and insomnia. My doctor says I can "quit" taking it, but this is the drug that is supposed to "decrease my chance of recurrence" significantly.

ArmyofWomenFlorida     Raysingboyz - I agree that you cannot stop taking your meds to decrease recurrence....but the side effects seem greater than the benefits.... I would try to do some meditation, breathing/relaxation exercises each day. This might help you learn to use your breath to divert those anxious moments/thoughts when they creep in!?!?
